The City of Atlanta may use emergency procurement when immediate action is required to protect public health, safety, welfare, property, or essential City operations. These procurements are reserved for urgent situations where standard procurement timelines are not feasible.
Whenever possible, the City uses existing contracts. If none are suitable, the City seeks as much competition as practicable under the circumstances. All emergency procurements are documented to explain the emergency, the scope and cost of the work, and the basis for contractor selection.
Below is a list of emergency procurements executed in accordance with City code Sec. 2-1192 and posted for public inspection by the Department of Procurement to promote transparency and public accountability.
